Summary
This study is observing heavy drinkers with jaundice to learn more about alcoholic hepatitis, a serious liver condition. Researchers will track survival and liver function over 12 months, and collect genetic samples to better understand the disease. The goal is to improve diagnosis and knowledge, not to test a new treatment.
