Mindfulness app may help teens cut back on drinking

Summary
This study looks at two ways to help teenagers reduce their alcohol use. One group gets a short counseling session, and the other gets the same session plus a smartphone app that teaches mindfulness. The goal is to see if the app helps teens drink less and have fewer alcohol-related problems over a year. About 1,500 teens aged 12-17 from pediatric clinics will take part.
