Liver clinic offers direct alcohol help in new sobriety trial
NCT ID NCT06493773
Summary
This study is testing if offering alcohol use disorder treatment directly in a liver disease clinic helps patients newly diagnosed with alcohol-related liver disease stay sober. About 221 patients will be randomly assigned to either receive this direct offer of treatment plus standard care, or just standard care alone. The main goal is to see if more patients in the treatment-offer group are completely alcohol-free after six months.
