First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at how being a woman or a man, and the natural changes in sex hormones during a woman's menstrual cycle, change the way alcohol affects sleep. Healthy adults ages 21-45 who drink regularly will have their sleep monitored in a lab after drinking alcohol or a placebo. The goal is to understand why alcohol may disrupt sleep more in women, especially at certain times of the month.
