Summary

This study aims to understand how drinking alcohol and different ways of communicating affect the risk of sexual violence between intimate partners. Researchers will observe 240 couples in a controlled lab setting, where some will drink alcohol and others will not, and will practice either direct or indirect communication. The goal is to gather knowledge about factors that contribute to intimate partner sexual violence, which is a significant public health problem.
