First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at how alcohol affects sleep in healthy women and men aged 21-45. Researchers want to see if women's sleep is more disrupted by alcohol than men's, and if the menstrual cycle phase plays a role. Participants will have sleep monitored in a lab after drinking alcohol or a placebo, and will track sleep and drinking at home. The goal is to understand how sex hormones influence alcohol's impact on sleep.
