New program aims to stop liver transplant patients from drinking again

Summary
This study is testing whether specialized addiction support after a liver transplant helps patients stay away from alcohol. It will involve 720 people who received a transplant due to alcohol-related liver disease. Half will receive standard follow-up care, while the other half will get extra consultations with addiction specialists to see if it reduces the rate of alcohol relapse over two years.
