Summary
This study aims to understand how alcohol affects the body by comparing blood samples from three groups: healthy people, heavy drinkers without liver disease, and patients with alcoholic hepatitis. Researchers will examine how blood cells produce energy and respond to inflammation. The goal is to identify differences that might explain why some heavy drinkers develop serious liver disease while others do not.
