New tool aims to spot drunk drivers before they hit the road
NCT ID NCT07282405
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a commercial fitness-to-drive tool (DRIVESC) could detect alcohol impairment in healthy adults. Researchers enrolled 22 participants from a breath alcohol examiner training course, some of whom consumed alcohol up to the legal driving limit. The goal was to see if the tool could measure changes in driving-related skills and if using it in this setting was practical.
