First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tests whether an app-based alcohol intervention works as well as talking to a health educator face-to-face. About 1,200 adults in Mexico and South Africa who drink at risky levels will use either the app or meet with a counselor. Researchers will track their drinking over 6 months to see if the app is a good alternative.
