Scientists map how alcohol recovery resets your Body's bacteria
NCT ID NCT02911077
Summary
This study aimed to understand how the community of bacteria in the gut and mouth changes when a person stops drinking alcohol. Researchers followed 23 adults undergoing detox treatment, collecting daily samples to see if these bacteria return to normal on their own. The goal was to gather knowledge that could inform future treatments for alcohol dependence, not to test a treatment directly.
