Simple blood test could predict surgery recovery speed
NCT ID NCT07263061
Summary
This study aims to understand if measuring how quickly a protein called albumin returns to normal levels after major liver, pancreas, or bile duct surgery can help predict patient recovery. Researchers will track 1,000 patients to see if faster albumin recovery means fewer complications and shorter hospital stays. The goal is to find a simple marker that helps doctors better monitor recovery after these complex operations.
