Common protein could shield brain from stroke damage
NCT ID NCT07415655
Summary
This study is testing if giving a low dose of albumin, a natural protein, can help protect brain tissue from further damage after an ischemic stroke. It will involve 100 patients who have had a stroke and need a procedure to open a blocked blood vessel. Researchers will check if albumin helps preserve brain function and improves recovery over 90 days.
