First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tests a new type of PET/CT scan using a tracer called Al18F-NOTA-LM3 to find tumors that cause tumor-induced osteomalacia, a condition where bones become soft and weak. About 40 adults with suspected or confirmed disease will receive both the new scan and a standard scan to see which is better at detecting the tumors. The goal is to improve diagnosis and guide treatment.
