Chasing the last cancer cell: can a transplant lock in remission for amyloidosis?

NCT ID NCT07215494

Summary

This study aims to see if a stem cell transplant can help patients with AL amyloidosis who have responded well to initial drug therapy but still have tiny amounts of disease left. Researchers will first check 50 patients for this 'minimal residual disease' (MRD) after drug treatment. For those who test positive and are eligible, they will then see if adding a transplant leads to better organ recovery and longer survival.
