Can a simple air quality alert help kids breathe easier?

NCT ID NCT07261423

Summary

This study is testing whether adding daily air quality information to a child's asthma action plan helps improve their asthma control and quality of life over one year. Researchers will enroll about 350 children with asthma, ages 8-17, living in Allegheny County, PA. Participants will receive standard asthma education and be randomly assigned to also get either government or commercial air quality alerts, or no extra alerts, to see which approach works best.
