Scientists probe hidden dangers: can tiny pollutants harm unborn babies?

NCT ID NCT07238608

Summary

This study aims to understand how exposure to very small air pollution particles and microplastics might interfere with normal fetal development. Researchers will follow 1,600 pregnant women in Greece and Spain to see if this exposure is linked to a higher chance of preterm birth or babies being born small. The goal is to gather knowledge about these environmental risks, not to provide a treatment.
