Cleaner bedroom air could help lower blood pressure for seniors
NCT ID NCT04103346
Summary
This study tested whether using portable air filters in bedrooms could reduce seniors' exposure to fine air pollution particles (PM2.5) and improve heart health. Fifty-two non-smoking seniors living in an apartment building near road pollution participated. They used either real or fake (sham) air filters for four-week periods while researchers measured their blood pressure and air quality.
