Smart device aims to save newborns by coaching birth attendants
NCT ID NCT05349175
Summary
This study tested a simple add-on device called AIR that gives real-time feedback to birth attendants as they practice newborn resuscitation on a manikin. The goal was to see if this tool helps healthcare workers learn and maintain proper lifesaving breathing techniques faster and better than standard training alone. Researchers worked with 250 skilled birth attendants in Kenya to measure how the device affected their skills over six months.
