Artificial intelligence takes on liver disease detection

NCT ID NCT07305636

Summary

This study tested whether artificial intelligence (AI) models could better detect liver scarring in people with fatty liver disease compared to traditional blood tests. Researchers analyzed data from 522 Egyptian adults with metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) who had undergone FibroScan testing. The goal was to see if AI could provide more accurate, non-invasive diagnosis of liver fibrosis, potentially reducing the need for liver biopsies.
