AI takes on radiologists in breast cancer detection challenge
NCT ID NCT07298252
Summary
This study tested whether an artificial intelligence (AI) system could read mammograms as accurately as experienced radiologists. Researchers looked back at 222 anonymized mammograms from four screening centers, comparing the AI's findings against those of three radiologists. The goal was to see if the AI software could match human performance in correctly identifying breast cancer while minimizing false alarms.
