AI takes on radiologists in prostate cancer detection showdown

NCT ID NCT07162194

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests whether an artificial intelligence (AI) system can analyze prostate MRI scans as accurately as a radiologist to detect prostate cancer. About 130 men who need a prostate biopsy will have their MRI read by both the AI and a radiologist. The goal is to see if the AI can match the radiologist's ability to find aggressive cancers, potentially offering a faster or more accessible option.
