Doctors vs. machines: who makes better pediatric diagnoses?

NCT ID NCT07179861

Summary

This study aimed to understand how well artificial intelligence (AI) tools perform on written pediatric medical cases compared to doctors. It also tested whether showing AI suggestions could help doctors improve their own answers. Thirty pediatric specialists were split into two groups: one group answered cases alone, and another group answered, then saw AI suggestions and could change their answers. The goal was to gather information to help use AI safely alongside doctors in the future.
