Can AI translate health info as well as humans? new study investigates
NCT ID NCT07127887
Summary
This study aims to see if artificial intelligence (AI) can translate health information as effectively as professional human translators. Researchers will recruit 350 adults in Canada whose first language is French, Spanish, Ukrainian, Tagalog, Arabic, Chinese, or Punjabi. Participants will be randomly assigned to read a health resource about preventing long COVID that was translated either by AI or by a human, then answer questions to see which version they understand better.
