Summary

This study at Stanford University is testing whether an artificial intelligence platform can accurately evaluate the communication skills of anesthesiology trainees (residents and fellows) when they practice telling a patient about a medical error. About 45 participants will complete a simulated conversation with the AI, which will then score their performance. Researchers will compare the AI's scores to those given by human experts to see if the AI is reliable.
