AI vs. doctors: who makes better choices for sepsis and ARDS?
NCT ID NCT07025096
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study compares treatment recommendations made by an artificial intelligence (AI) system to those made by real doctors for patients with sepsis and ARDS in intensive care. About 350 critical care doctors and advanced practice providers will review patient cases and judge whether the recommendations are safe and appropriate, and guess if they came from AI or a human. The goal is to see if the AI can match the quality of human clinical decisions.
