Summary
This study tested a new digital tool that uses artificial intelligence to analyze a person's speech during three one-minute verbal fluency tests. The goal was to see if it could accurately detect mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or early dementia. The study involved 221 adults aged 55 and older, including both healthy volunteers and those with suspected MCI or dementia. The approach is non-invasive and quick, aiming to help with earlier diagnosis.
