Summary
This study compares AI-powered virtual patients with traditional role-play for teaching dental students how to take medical and dental histories. Fifty-six third-year dental students will practice with either a Gemini-based AI patient or a human actor over four sessions. Researchers will measure changes in history-taking skills and student satisfaction to see if the AI method is as effective as the conventional approach.

Inclusion Criteria: * Third-year undergraduate dental students enrolled in the dental program at the Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University. * No previous history-taking training supported by a large language model. * Willingness to participate and provision of written informed consent. Exclusion Criteria: * Withdrawal from the study. * Failure to complete the baseline assessment, scheduled training sessions, or postintervention assessment.
