AI camera spots seizures while kids rest

NCT ID NCT05606575

Summary

This study tested whether Nelli software—which uses computer vision and machine learning—can automatically detect epileptic seizures from video recordings. Researchers compared the software's seizure detection against expert review of video EEG data in 150 children and young adults (ages 6-21) with suspected motor seizures. The goal was to validate if this non-EEG, video-based system could reliably identify seizure events to help clinicians manage epilepsy.
