AI steps in: could a computer read your ultrasound to spot spreading cancer?
NCT ID NCT07299318
Summary
This study aims to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) tool that analyzes neck ultrasound images and reports to predict whether papillary thyroid cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes. It will involve 3,200 adults who have had surgery for this cancer, comparing the AI's predictions to the actual surgical results. The goal is to create a more accurate, non-invasive method to help doctors plan the best treatment by better understanding the cancer's stage.
