Your phone could help spot deadly blood clots: app guides nurses to use ultrasound
NCT ID NCT06652568
Summary
This study tested a smartphone app called ThinkSono Guidance. The app is designed to guide nurses and other non-specialist healthcare workers on how to use a handheld ultrasound device to check for dangerous blood clots in the legs (deep vein thrombosis). The goal is to make this important diagnostic test faster and more accessible outside of hospital radiology departments, potentially speeding up diagnosis and treatment.
