AI Doctor's assistant aims to catch hidden iron problems

NCT ID NCT07394088

Summary

This study is testing whether a computer program (AI) can help doctors better identify iron deficiency in adult patients during regular check-ups. The AI analyzes standard blood test results and flags patients it thinks are at high risk, giving the doctor a hint to consider further testing. The goal is to see if this simple, automated hint leads to more cases being found and treated correctly, without requiring any extra steps from patients.
