NCT ID NCT06859216
First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether artificial intelligence can create easy-to-understand summaries of eye doctor notes. About 460 adults receiving eye care will get either the usual medical notes or notes with an AI-generated plain language summary added. Participants will answer surveys right after their visit and a week later to see how well they understood their diagnosis, treatment plan, and follow-up instructions. The goal is to improve communication between patients and eye doctors.
