AI steps in to speed up lung cancer detection

NCT ID NCT06044454

Summary

This study is testing whether an AI software program can help doctors prioritize which chest X-rays to look at first when checking for possible lung cancer. The goal is to get patients who need a follow-up CT scan identified faster, which could lead to quicker diagnosis and treatment. The study will involve 60,000 patient X-rays and will also ask staff and patients what they think about using this AI tool in the NHS.
