First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looked at whether an artificial intelligence (AI) tool can help primary care doctors diagnose skin conditions more accurately. Nine doctors reviewed 30 skin images, first giving a diagnosis on their own, then with AI suggestions. The goal was to see if the AI improved correct diagnoses and helped decide if a specialist referral was needed.
