First seen Apr 30, 2026 · Last updated Jun 10, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tests whether using artificial intelligence (AI) to rewrite hospital discharge letters in plain language helps cancer patients better understand their medical information. About 150 adults with blood cancer or other cancers will take part. Some will get the standard letter plus an AI-simplified version, while others get only the standard letter. After reading, everyone answers a short quiz to see how well they understood.
