AI learns to predict prostate cancer survival from scans

NCT ID NCT03594760

Summary

This study aims to see if artificial intelligence (AI) can analyze a new, highly sensitive type of PET scan to predict how prostate cancer will progress and how patients will respond to treatment. It will enroll 1000 patients at a Montreal hospital who are already scheduled for this special scan as part of their care. The goal is to discover hidden patterns in the scan images that can forecast survival and disease progression earlier and more accurately.
