First seen May 17, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study is testing whether a computer program (a type of AI) can predict complications during SMILE eye surgery and how well patients see afterward. About 1250 people with nearsightedness will have their surgery data analyzed by the AI. The goal is to see if the AI can accurately forecast issues like cloudy layers during surgery or the final vision result.
