AI and a gut pill: new hope for Exercise-Resistant men?
NCT ID NCT07180446
Summary
This study aims to understand why some overweight men don't see improved blood sugar control from exercise and if a gut health supplement can help. It will enroll 25 sedentary men who will exercise for 12 weeks and take the supplement sodium butyrate for the last 4 weeks. Researchers will use blood tests, stool samples, and AI to try to predict who benefits most from exercise and if the supplement improves insulin response.
