AI steps in to predict risky surgery moments

NCT ID NCT06961240

Summary

This study tested whether artificial intelligence (AI) could better predict which patients will have a difficult time having a breathing tube placed during surgery. Researchers collected photos and measurements from 250 adults before their surgery and used this data to train computer models. The goal was to create a tool that helps doctors prepare for and avoid complications when patients are under anesthesia.
