Your Phone's camera could make surgery safer

NCT ID NCT01612949

Summary

This study is testing a new computer program designed to predict how difficult it will be for doctors to place a breathing tube during surgery. It works by analyzing three photos of a patient's face and neck to look for features linked to this difficulty. The goal is to create a more accurate, objective tool than current methods to help doctors plan better and improve patient safety.
