AI vs. doctors: who better predicts Chemo's hidden danger?
NCT ID NCT07114276
Summary
This study tested whether a computer model could better predict which cancer patients would suffer kidney damage from platinum-based chemotherapy drugs. Researchers followed 77 patients in Taiwan, collecting their health data and comparing the model's predictions against the assessments of four doctors. The goal was to see if artificial intelligence could help identify patients at high risk for this serious side effect before it happens.
