AI learns to see your pain: new tool could revolutionize fibromyalgia diagnosis
NCT ID NCT06813352
Summary
This study is testing a new way to measure pain in people with fibromyalgia, a condition known for widespread chronic pain. Researchers are using artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze patients' facial expressions and checking saliva for biological markers, hoping to create a more objective pain measurement tool. They will compare 61 people with fibromyalgia to 61 people without it to see if the AI and biomarker tests can reliably detect and quantify pain.
