Mammogram AI could predict your heart attack risk

NCT ID NCT07156006

Summary

This study aimed to see if a computer program (AI) could automatically spot tiny calcium deposits in breast arteries during routine mammograms. Researchers wanted to check if these deposits are linked to a woman's risk for heart disease. The study involved 149 women who were already getting mammograms, comparing those with the deposits to those without.
