AI could spot lung cancer early from a simple chest X-Ray

NCT ID NCT05817110

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study tests an artificial intelligence (AI) tool that analyzes chest X-rays to give a lung nodule malignancy score, predicting the risk of lung cancer. Researchers will compare the AI's score with CT scan results from 712 adults aged 35 and older who have a lung nodule. The goal is to see if the AI can accurately identify high-risk nodules, potentially leading to earlier and better treatment decisions.
