AI vs. infection: new scan analysis aims to spot hidden heart device problems
NCT ID NCT07454096
Summary
This study aims to see if a new computer analysis method called 'radiomics' can make PET scans better at finding and tracking infections in implanted heart devices like pacemakers and artificial valves. It will look back at past patient scans and also follow new patients to compare the AI's accuracy against how doctors currently read these scans. The goal is to create a more reliable tool to diagnose these serious infections and help decide when antibiotic treatment can safely stop.
