AI assistant guides Surgeons' eyes in risky operation
NCT ID NCT07188181
Summary
This study tested whether an artificial intelligence (AI) tool could help trainee surgeons correctly find the bile duct during keyhole gallbladder removal surgery. Eight surgical trainees reviewed video clips from real operations, first on their own and then with AI highlighting key areas. The goal was to see if the AI improved their accuracy in spotting this critical and sometimes hard-to-see structure, which is important for preventing surgical mistakes.
