AI steps into the operating room to map faulty heart valves

Summary
This study aims to develop and test new AI software that automatically analyzes 3D ultrasound scans of the heart's mitral valve. The software will create detailed 3D models to measure the valve's shape and simulate the effects of surgical repair. Researchers will enroll 150 adults already scheduled for surgery to fix a prolapsed mitral valve.
