Your smartwatch could soon spot heart disease before you do

NCT ID NCT07057466

Summary

This study is testing whether artificial intelligence (AI) can help doctors find hidden heart problems earlier. Researchers will collect heart test data (ECGs) from about 590 people, using both hospital machines and portable devices like smartwatches. The goal is to see if AI can accurately spot conditions like heart failure or valve disease from these simple tests, potentially offering a low-cost way to catch problems sooner.
