AI heart scanner trial aims to bridge rural healthcare gap

NCT ID NCT05558605

Summary

This study is testing whether artificial intelligence can help improve access to heart scans in rural and remote Australian communities. Researchers want to see if AI-guided ultrasound machines can help detect heart problems earlier in people at risk, even when heart specialists aren't available locally. The trial involves 612 adults over 45 with heart risk factors who live in areas with limited healthcare access.
